Victron Cerbo - Simrad NSS12 evo3

How do I get the Victron app on the Simrad NSS12evo3. Simrad is from 2017 and has the latest software version. Cerbo is from 2025 with the latest software version. Simrad is connected to CerboGX with NMEA2000 and ethernet cable. I can see the equipment via NMEA2000 but not on the Simrad display. I have read the user manual up and down many times, but I can’t figure it out.
Wired connection between Cerbo and Simrad. Mobile broadband out to the internet with connection to Cerbo (venus..) and Simrad. It stops there and I can’t get further.

Which one, of Victron or Navico?

Did you read the Victron MFD integration guide? Selected the data source/s?

I have no experience with Simrad directly, but have you tried just one at a time?

Also, since your ethernet has an internet connection, i guess the connection between GX and MFD goes through at least a switch. Check your network settings to make sure link local adresses are permittet in your network

The app as visible on the MFDs is a HTML5 app hosted on the GX device. It can also be accessed from a regular PC (or mobile device) by navigating a browser to: http://venus.local/app/, or replace venus.local with the GX IP address.

I don’t use a switch, but wireless mobile broadband. Maybe a switch would be crucial?

How do you connect both the GX and the MFD to that mobile modem, over Wifi or network cables? Either of them needs to have a switch internally of the modem, otherwise you could only connect one device to the modem at once. Ive only used a mobile modem once, and it did not have as much network settings available as compared to a wired (copper/fiber) modem, so its possible that link local wont work.

But you could try if thats the case by connecting the GX directly to the MFD over a network cable, without anything else inbetween. If it works like that then most likely the wireless modem is the issue

GX and MFD are wirelessly connected.
Between GX and MFD there is both NMEA2000 and RJ45 ethernet cable. But not cable to modem.
I see Victron and battery via NMEA2000 on the MFD in the device list.

So you have a triangle of network connections. Both GX and MFD connect to the modem through Wifi but they also connect directly to eachother through the network cable. That sounds like a networking nightmare even in a fixed installation.

I would temporarely remove one connection, possibly the Wifi and then try again.

Data submission over NMEA/Canbus uses a completely different protocol and way of submitting data. Over NMEA you cant access the website that the GX is providing, you can only read PGNs and SPNs which are essentially key-value pairs. Its very well possible that this side works fine while the network side gets blocked by the modem or some other issue
