I’m debating between standalone batteries with built in BMS and installing a Victron BMS NG with associated battery, however I feel I’ll lose some functionality if I remove the Smart shunt, are there possibly solutions to that that I’m not seeing:
-
How do I continue to measure the starter battery voltage (when the AUX input on the smart shunt disappears)
-
Can I still have MPPT positive (+) go directly to battery and have negative (-) behind new BMS NG? Does it interfere with the BMS in any way? The “Low temperature cut-off” function will be active when the MPPT is part of a VE.smart network, but what if it goes via VE.Direct together with Cerbo GX and BMS NG, how is the MPPT then controlled?
-
MultiPlus 1600, is its charge and discharge somehow managed via BMS or CerboGX, is it time to activate DVCC?
-
Enable SVS?
-
Enable STS?
-
Enable SCS?
