I upgraded my Charger to V3.61 since then the Charging-Cycle is not restarted when the current raises. It seems that the re-bulk setting does not work anymore. I already tried to do a factory reset and reapply my changed settings, but it still does not go back to bulk mode.
I think it has something to do with the new Firmware, since the same problem happend on two different chargers after I did the upgrade. Chargers with older FW are working fine.
Is there any new settings that need to be changed to make the re-bulk setting work?
Wir haben aktuell eine Kundenmeldung mit dem gleichen Problem und haben daher hiermal einen Testaufbau gemacht:
Ladegerät BPC 12/25 IP67 mit Lithiumbatterie, an die auch ein Wechselrichter als Last angeschlossen ist.
Softwareversion 3.25
Das Ladegerät lädt die Batterie normal mit 25A auf Ladespannung auf und schaltet dann auf Absorption. Der Ladestrom ist bei knapp 2A. → Nun wird die Last am Wechselrichter eingeschaltet und Die Batteriespannung fällt ab und der Ladestrom steigt wieder auf 25A und das Gerät schaltet nach ca. 3s wieder auf Bulkphase um mit der entsprechenden Bulkspannung zu laden.
Softwareversion 3.61
Das Ladegerät lädt die Batterie normal mit 25A auf Ladespannung auf und schaltet dann auf Absorption. Der Ladestrom ist bei knapp 2A. → Nun wird die Last am Wechselrichter eingeschaltet und Die Batteriespannung fällt ab und der Ladestrom steigt wieder auf 25A und das Gerät schaltet auch nach über 1min nicht wieder auf die Bulkspannung, sondern lädt nur mit der Absorptionsspannung —> Softwarefehler
Ein Downgrade würde helfen, aber das ist leider mit nur-Bluetooth-Geräten nicht möglich.
In a related topic about the Smart IP65 Charger 15A/12V not charging and switching between bulk and absorption, after a firmware update it was said that this kind of issue was a hardware issue. That’s why I sent my broken chargers back to the shops and they tested them. I received new chargers with an older FW. I did not upgrade the firmware because I still thought it was a FW bug. And today I finally got proof: firmware v3.65 did fix a bug related to rebulking! I had one remaining charger with the broken FW version (v3.61), and after the update to v3.65 it worked again.
So thanks Victron for replacing my chargers for free.
