Venus OS v3.70~9 available for public testing

@ All Beta-Testers:

Currently it looks like DESS is not properly starting after upgrading to 3.70~9. We could reproduce this once, doing a second reboot after the upgrade-reboot apparently makes DESS operational again.

So, if somebody is running into this and could confirm (or decline) whether a second reboot after the upgrade-reboot restores DESS-operation, could be helpful to eventually find the cause.

(Under Settings → System Setup → ESS → Dynamic ESS the Status will either state “Auto” or “Inactive”)

I noticed this strange behavior today: Dess charges solar during low price but also sells a little part to grid in the same hour. Running 3.70~9

And today again:

I also see that there is no DESS battery to grid restriction is in place during these hours where no selling is planned.

Hi, im new with version 3.6 onwards . So trying to find my way around. I am creating a system with multiple gx io extender modules but wanted to create “modes” exampl
e application , we have a RV install and wanted to create a driving mode and camping mode switch on the switch control so virtual switches . When pressing these switches we can activate certain io based on the mode selected. Is there the ability to create virtual switches yet?

The changelog at the head of this topic states that virtual switches are now in beta release.

Good day all, a brief heads up: later today we’ll be beta testing a v3.63 beta version.

This will replace the current v3.70 beta.

Once v3.63 series has been completed (released officially), we’ll resume v3.70 beta testing.

Please help testing v3.63 - thanks!

I’ll post a detailed message once its out.

As of this morning even though i selected beta version for updates , i can only see version 3.63-2 available, yesterday i was able to load 3.7-9 , it seems this is disabled now ? ok i just read above , silly me , i have just tested now and the virtual switches have disappeared again in version 3.63-2

3.63~2 is also a beta version. As Matthijs wrote above they interrupt beta 3.70 for testing 3.63. If you don’t want to have those backsteps installed you should disable autoupdates.
