Venus OS V3.53 - MQTT Local communication on MQTT Explorer

I’m new to Victron and installed version V3.53 on my Cerbo Gx. I enabled MQTT from the Cerbo GX screen, but I still can’t connect with MQTT Explorer on local MQTT.
I can’t connect with the passwords too I used for VRM and SSH either.
Are there packages I need to install on Cerbo GX?

you can connect without providing a user and/or password.

Hello dognose, I tied but no connected.

Try to uncheck “Validate Certificate”, I can connect to my RPi Venus OS (v3.52)

You can actually type anything into the user/password field, it doesn’t matter but you do need to uncheck the validate cert option.

I’ve just tested it, for me, the validate certificate option doesn’t matter.

Try to connect on port 8883, eventually enable tls, but disable certificate validation.

In earlier firmware, one could select if mqtt should run plain or encrypted. That option seems to be gone.

Eventually it is now only running on ssl, but for systems that had plain mqtt enabled with an earlier firmware still picking up the orphaned setting to do so.

not work

I think 8883 is not for local mqtt. But I tried it anyway and it failed
Do you have more detail for connection?

Thank you Nick and dognose,

i tried with VRM password and 8883 Port and its work.
Thank you

Can I make a setting like disabling the TLS requirement?

If i make the secure setting to “week”, I can connect with Port 1883 too.
That is great
