VE Configure SW VECSetup_A.exe under Wine in Linux

I run Linux MInt 21.3 Cinnamon on my PC and need to install VEConfigurationTools (VECSetup_A.exe).

What kind of experience was made with installing VECSetup_A.exe under Wine?
Did it work?
What needed to be done to get the application running?
etc.

Thanks in advance for helping replies.

I recently installed VECSetup_A on Ubuntu with WINE.
Installation is automatic and easy, the program run normally and updates itself immediately.
The problem I’m working to solve is to have it recognized the USB ports of my laptop: linux calls usb ports ttyUSB#, while for Windows are COM#. I’ve tried all the tricks found online but as today with no results.

I didn’t manage to get this right on Mac, but I only needed it to edit existing configs not to actually connect to a system via a MK3 USB.

Hello,
I also use Linux Mint Cinnamon and have installed VEConfigure.exe in Wine, but:

  1. I can’t get it to run; I managed once, but I can’t figure out how I did it anymore. Apparently, it should work from the command line with wine + the path “/home/user name/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/VE Configure tools/VEConfig.exe”
  2. I don’t use an Mk3, but the .rsvc configuration file downloaded with VRM, which needs to be modified with VEConfig and then uploaded to the MultiPlus again using VRM. Once VEConfigure is running (if I solve problem 1), how do I open the .rsvc file?
