Ve CAN pinout and termiators

I Have Rahvolt batteries and a Cerbo gx, The batteries are compatible with Ve Can but the wires need switching around on the RJ45 cable between the cerbo and the first battery.

My battery connected end uses pin 4 as CAN H and pin 5 as CAN L and pin 6 for GND, but as far as I remember the Cerbo uses different pinout ( is it 3=H 6=L and 7= GND?)so the wires needed crossing in that first cable.

Looking at a genuine Victron terminator i can see pins 7 and 8 have the resistor across them, so to terminate the empty VE CAN on the Cerbo, the genuine terminator is not correctly configured, or am I wrong? And I can’t use it to terminate the open port on the last battery right?

The BMS cable wiring is shown here. The onky real difference is the position of the ground which can be left out (fyi can cause a problem with some cable testers.)

Use the provided ve can terminal don’t overthink that part

The battery termination side - is it recommended or required by the battery you are using? if not leave it out. And the ones provided by victron can be used on some batteries- but they specifically say so.
