VE.Can on Cerbo kills network

I have had some gremlins in my Raymarine N2K network which was causing the wind data to drop off for a few seconds out of every 10-20s. I got a new wind unit but it was still there so not that.

I started to look into my N2K (stNG) network and noticed the resistance was all over the show, jumping from 30-250 and everything in between, and in other parts of the network there was 0 resistance.

So I tested the network in segments and have found that it is the CerboGX and/or Azro Zeus (alternator regular which is also on CanBus) that is causing this. The CerboGX is plugged into the stNG with the Blue Victron cable.

As soon as I remove this cable from the stNG spur the readings are a steady 60 Ohms.

Has anyone seen this before?

I suppose next steps are check for open circuit on the cable on the data pins? same on the Cerbo?

If you need to do resistance / continuity checks on a CAN network (N2K) then everything must be powered down. Occasional data packets sent from a source will cause false readings. Apologies if this is obvious. The Cerbo if powered down should be loop through between the CAN ports (A-A,B-B) with no termination.

Ahh, I did not know this. I will test again tomorrow.
However the problem still points to the Cerbo and/or Zeus Regulator because when either or both of them are plugged in I loose my wind dirn/speed data for about 1 second in every 10-20 seconds

Tested again and with everything off it tests at 60Ohm across various test points.
