VE.Bus System [276] Low battery Allarm

Hi all

I have a marine system alerting me recently about low voltage on my house battery bank and the inverter shuts down and restarts constantly, this only happens when the sun goes down at night when i’m unplugged from shore power. I have had the batteries and system going for about 1 and a half years with no issues.

System
MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-32
Cerbo GX
Lynx Shunt 1000A VE.Can
SmartSolar Charger MPPT 100/20 48V with 250w Solbian solar panel.
2 x Victron 12V/230Ah AGM Super cycle batteries

Settings
Both the Multiplus and the solar charger are set to the battery type and charge profile but they operate independently (solar is standalone).

I have noticed that every morning when the sun comes up the solar charger operates in absorption mode whilst the Multiplus is in float mode. This boosts the battery voltage from 13.7v to around 14.15v then back down to 13.6v every morning over a 3 hour period. (detailed in the voltage picture below). You can also see in the picture the drop in voltage at nightime.

Could it be that because of this that i have cooked my batteries and severely reduced the life of them?

from the rapid rise in voltage on charge, and likewise drop in voltage on discharge, the batteries could be sulphated. Try raising the charge voltage to 14.4V for a while and see if that improves the situation any.
