Hi developers,
As long as Multi RS is concerned, I suppose that all those addendums inside VC changelog like:
working as a PV inverter
“Optimize for feed-in” ESS mode
AC Input Control: Add disconnection by SOC condition
etc…
are just a teaser for the Multi RS owners as there is also a need for updating the firmware, right?
So, as long as those options are advertised there, for sure a beta firmware exists for testing purposes, right?
Who is doing the beta testing?
Come on, it’s just like showing a big cake to a person which is on diet… This is just mean…
these are currently in beta and being tested in real world conditions. You have to sign up for the testing obviously.
since you are a software/firmware person yourself. you know there are many levels to testing and each are rolled out in steps to more and more users.
the notes just explain the direction it is taking - i know you and many others are keen on those features you mention above
For Venus OS it’s obvious how to sign up for beta-testing. Just modify the update feed to beta.
But for MultiRS beta testing firmwares (equipment firmwares), how to sign up?
I know that from time to time the VC program is being update with the latest equipment firmwares.
Are these beta equipment firmware included in the VC beta software?
Hi @mpvader
I’ve just tried to say that a lot of the VC new options require a new firmware for RS.
How can a person test those VC new features without having the new RS firmware?
