I get the same error. I also tried to restart the Multiplus GX gateway and that fixed it temporary but after a deploy in node red the error came back again.
It seems it takes 10 seconds after deployment before this node accept an injected value. But nodered still complains that the victron energy client config node is unused.
I have never seen this behaviour before.
Also, the TypeError appeared again, but is gone after moving some nodes and doing a deploy again.

I got exactly the same issues after an upgrade from 3.70~5 to 3.70~7, so I reverted it.
I can confirm same venus-energy-client unused notice. Didn’t affect the nodes in my flows though. VRM-API, Node-RED DESS and a whole slew of others still active. Only hint as to why nothing broke might be the use of a context parameter for setting the VRM instance once, instead of in every node that uses it.

I’m also having issues connecting to node-RED on a specific Cerbo installation since a couple of days, but I don’t have any beta firmware running on that client.
