Unable to access the service endpoint:/victron/services/input-vebus

Hi,

I today installed the latest release of Venus OS Large (version 3.60) in order to get access to Node-RED. However when I try to use any of the Victron nodes, I get errors of the form " Unable to access the service endpoint:/victron/services/input-vebus". This happens for all the Victron nodes.

I saw that in for e.g. Node-RED Victron extension is not working. (node-red-contrib-victron) others have had this issue, but in those cases it seemed users were using a beta (whereas I’ve installed the latest release, not a beta).

Any thoughts?

Edit: I only have remote access to this Cerbo at the moment and so can’t for e.g. SSH in to check logs.

Thanks,

Carl

I have the same on the official version 3.60, I’m a bit worried about this fact

@mpvader @dfaber any thoughts? It seems like you were able to help resolve this with some of the beta candidates of 3.60

This does happen if there is no Victron Energy Client configuration node. That gets created on the first deploy of a Victron Node.

So the way to resolve this is to once deploy with a node on the canvas and thereafter configure it and deploy again.

Thank you very much, everything is working now

Thanks, @dfaber! Confirmed that solves my problem. Apologies if this is in the documentation somewhere - I’ve been using Node-RED on another Cerbo for years so maybe I’ve just forgotten that this was needed the first time it gets used :see_no_evil_monkey:

Can you show us again how to do it ?

First just pull in the Victron node on to the canvas and click “Deploy”

This will give you a warning, but click “Confirm deploy”. Then, double click the Victron Node and you will get the dropdown for the services.

After that, click deploy again and the nodes will work (you will only need to do this once).

@Grigoriu - add any Victron node to one of your flows and hit Deploy. After you have deployed, when you open the Victron nodes the error should no longer appear.

Hi,

I have a Multiplus II GX with the last version 3.60 and I have the same problem (Unable to access the service endpoint:/victron/services/…).

In Node-red, I run “Deploy” but not solve the problem and the error change to this :
There are no ac load services available. Please check that a ac load is connected or try a different node
This for “AC Load” but error it’s same with other nodes.

In debug window, i have :
TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘name’)

Have you got an idea ?

Thanks

@flof: The AC Load doesn’t’ do much as your site doesn’t contain a grid meter that has been configured as AC load.
Try the Ve. Bus System, PV Inverter, System or Settings nodes, which you do appear to have on your site.

Hi,

Thanks. Sorry, I have test many node but not this.

I would like pilot 2 electric resistor (water and spa) with internal relai k1 et k2. What’s node to use ? I dont see output relay.

Regards
Flof
