When running 3.60~60, after upgrading to it, I had my VE.CAN solar controllers lose connection and start appearing to “flap” and not staying connected. The Lynx seemed to remain connected, but the error also showed BMS lost. This issue appeared roughly 24 hours after I had installed the latest beta. I reverted back to latest stable version, and it was ok. So I went back to latest beta and about 24 hours later had the same issue. I have reverted back to latest stable and have been ok for several days now. I am running NodeRed with a very simple flow, and the GPS USB mod, no other mods. Not sure if this is related to the VE.CAN issues being worked?
Hi @Pgrv ,
yes, very relevant. Is it ok we login to analyse a bit further, and possible also make some changes?
If yes, please enable Settings → General → Remote Support.
It would probably/possibly be quite helpful, as we’re trying to fix a problem that has proven to be very difficult to reliably reproduce.
Best regards, Matthijs
Hi Matthijs,
I have enabled remote support. Would you like me to push the beta update back on as well?
Hi @Pgrv no need for that, I’ll most likely push a slightly newer beta; the main change being a newer linux kernel.
Pls. do confirm if that is ok? I don’t expect any issues, and normally issues with a GX won’t power the system down or anything like that - but have to ask.
And I noticed you’re running mods, ie GuiMods, SetupHelper, BatteryAggregator.
Hi,
Its ok to do the upgrades, no issue form me.
The mode I am running is the rc.local in order to get GPS data over the network. I also have NodeRed running. I do not use GuiMods, setuphelper or any others.
Hope that helps!
Hi again. updated - if you encounter any issues, ofcourse welcome to revert to another version but then please let me know.
For now all seems good - so its time to wait.
Sounds good! Will let you know!
So far so good… No losses of communication.
