V3.51 current limit in dashboard VRM controls it has no effect

When you change Grid current limit in dashboard controls it has no effect. But if you change it in ESS Peak shaving it works perfectly.

Seems like your SoC is low and the Multi is in bypass, so all loads are pulled from the grid and max current is ignored.

I have Peak shaving in always and it works perfectly if you put the value in the maximum system limit current field even with soc low.
And it works fine on a previous firmware version in dashboard controls

Maybe your BMS is limiting discharge ?

I don’t know, sorry.
I’m not familiar enough with the internal ESS and Peak Shaving logic to dig that deep.
On my own system, Peak Shaving is only active above minimum SoC.

What I have noticed in the past is that the “Multiplus Grid Current” limit does not actually change the total grid current as used by the entire system, but the current the Multi can draw from the grid. For instance while charging or when you have loads on AC Out.
So from my side it still looks like “works as intended”.

Thanks for your help.
I just noticed that Grid current limit in dashboard controls limits the charging current for the battery. (total input current of multiplus AC IN).
It ends up being a good option when you charge the battery at night and want to quickly limit the charging current.
But I didn’t see anything mentioning the change in the logs

I just don’t think it’s right that it counts the total current including the PV in the AC IN. I think it should only count the grid current when the meter is installed.
