Using an older MultiPlus in a Lithium upgrade

I’m in the process of designing an upgrade to lithium batteries. I am planning on using all Victron equipment including their NG batteries. I have a Victron Multiplus Compact circa 2012.

I did a little research on the process of updating firmware so that I can configure to charge the new batteries. I’m a little concerned that doing so will be problematic at best, but it might not even be possible.

Any advice on this topic? Would it be wise to upgrade the inverter/charger?

10 years is a long time, so, yes I would recommend an update if something is available.
