Updated information about my home backup system

Finally getting some numbers from Portland General Electric about my home backup system. While the system is meant for power outage safety and convenience - I am also using it to time-shift much of my mid-peak and on-peak usage to off-peak. This is saving $7 to $10 a week on the electric bill.

Running two MP2s in split-phase with Ruixu batteries. Using nodered to manage the time-shifting.

@PortlandPiper how did you connect the Ruixi battery BMS to a GX device? Did you use the Victron Type A or Type B cable?

I think it would be the type A cable. It is wired like this:

Thanks. I assume I can cut the positive power cable near the battery module to insert a fuse/breaker?

I plan to use the long wires only (I will buy extra wires to match number of modules) running to my own busbar.

First, I am not the person to ask. I figured what I should have from reading the Victron manuals and then verified my findings with an experienced solar & battery system installer and an electrician in my area. I did my own system design and setup but the everything was double-checked by others before being powered on and the grid connections were all done by an electrician. What I do have is fuses in the the Lynx Power-In and Distributor and also a quick disconnect on the positive between the batteries and the Power-In.

Noted. My setup will be a bit different. I will ask around. Thanks
