Trouble instaling Cerbo GX

Hi there, I’m trying to sustitute my color control for a new Cerbo GX and added 2 mppt´s to a existing offered AC coupling.

My system, offgrid, Ac coupling, Multiplus 5000/48 BYD LVS (since 5 years working, after 4 years damaged Pylontech because wrong configuration from supposed professionals, changed to new batteries BYD, and after this experience, learning my self… slowly, because configuration is not my strong)

I decided to ad 2 mppt´s Smart Solar 250/100 and it’s working for the moment. With the color control, it seems to work fine. When i conect everything to the cerbo, the mppt´s show error 67 bms conection lost. And I can not see my BYD LVS batteries in the cerbo…, and after a while, the batteries turn off. Do I miss something, I can not find probably mi error of configuration in the cerbo? The cables are the same, I plug out of the color control, and plug in the cerbo

If somebody could give me some advise

Did you setup the chosen canbus for BMS communication?

no, didn´t know that…

I found where to do. Phone batterie empty, will try in a while, and give a update, looks it could be the reason….

Hi Chrigu, that was the problem! thanks for your quick response!

Maybe by the way, with the color control, I can adjust certain parameter. With the cerbo going to adjustments of the multiplus, it says, no access for adjustments, use interfaz MK3-usb…( that´s how I configured the multi! and activated overruled by remote) But that mean the cerbo can not do what the color control yes can? and another thing I saw is that my batteries operating voltage is 40-57.6 V and now in the cerbo going to parameters of the batteries, there I see CVL 58.4 Is that normal value? ( it’s higher then operating voltage is 40-57.6 V ) I´m afraid of overcharge and high voltage alert. ( Because in the color control you can adjust this to a limit…)

Both devices have similar capabilities, the cerbo has more.
Remember you can’t connect them to the inverter at the same time or at the same time as the mk3.
Gx’s can only change the inverter configuration via vrm remote configure.

Ok, I will play a little around with the cerbo. Thanks for the info. I´m new here. Very interesting the victroncommunity… It help´s a lot.

Dig around with searches as well. There is so much info here and I can promise you that whatever issue you experience, at least one other person has a similar topic here somewhere.
It’s a great upgrade from ccgx to cerbo, you won’t regret it. Let us know how it goes.
