Total Solar Yield versus Solar Yeild in API

I have used the API to download in Node Red the Total Solar Yield and also Solar Yield, can anyone explain the difference please, I am trying to tie up solar irradence with PV output but only when the RS450’s are active not when they are limited. Really struggling!

Greetings.
One is potential. One is what is happening.or the total in your system.
The irradiance ones are not always accurate unless they also have atmosphere particle readings. Also your panels temps affect your total solar yield.
Its an art not a science unless you have all the devices to do measurements yourself.

Hi, Thanks for the reply.
Its my first play with the API so still learning. I am trying to come up with a rough idea of production so i can turn on or off loads knowing what i’m getting. The forcast on VRM looks at my solar output but doesn’t take into account over production, somedays 10am in the morning the batteries are full all loads are on and i am still limiting.

So not quite as i thought. Total Solar Yield appear to be the Total Solar Yield in the preceeding time period chosen by the API. The two API calls below were made at the same time, one with 15 minute intervale and the other w 1 hours interval. As you can see the four 15 minute periods adds up to the same as the one 1 hour interval
