The time shown on my VRM portal for my CerboGX increased by 1 hour on 3/9/25 for daylight savings time. I am located in Hawaii and State does not observe DST. I navigated to location and it was still set to Hawai’i. I searched for closest city (Hilo) and set again but time is still ahead of actual by 1 hour.
Did you set the time on the GX device?
Yes changes on Cerbogx this morning and when I checked this evening it had reverted to one hour later. Also tried changing location to Los Angeles and no change to time. Then changed back to Hilo HI.
Still showing 1 hour ahead.
I am having a similar issue; my Cerbo is on the correct timezone and time, but VRM says the local time is an hour off. I think there must be a timezone bug in Victron lately because this time issue wasn’t there before the new interface came around.
Try this, startup node red and use the inject node to inject a 1 it will print the local time in the debug. Flow is in the text file.
GET LOCAL TIME.txt (1.9 KB)
try rebooting the cerbo as it only seems to check time once as it starts up
(edit) sorry - I thought this was the thread I had started. My symptoms are different, Cerbo is correct, VRM is wrong.
Local time on Cerbo correct:
Location set properly (Sint Maarten), with an hour wrong time:
Also tried rebooting the Cerbo to see if that would “wake up” the VRM portal but no such luck. Still stuck on 1 hour difference.
Methinks the timezones are incorrectly set in the VRM servers, themselves - like, they always to daylight savings even if the location is set to a place without it. Maybe a timezone setting in VRM, itself, would help with this? Or simply “trust” the Cerbo implicitly and disregard the location information in VRM?
