I have a marine installation with one 12v/50a phoenix smart charger (approx 3 years old). I am planning on adding two new 50a smart chargers in parallel for a total of 150a charge. I would like to confirm that the current unit (as per the pic) will operate correctly in parallel with two new ones. I have consulted the online manuals, but this hasn’t fully helped:
-
The old phoenix manual (which I think relates to the unit I already have) doesn’t mention sync charging. https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/Phoenix_Smart_IP43_Charger_230V/22097-Phoenix_Smart_IP43_Charger-pdf-en.pdf

The new smart charger manual does mention sync charging and goes as far as to say “Synchronised charging can be setup with different charger types, providing they are VE.Smart Networking compatible (this includes compatible Blue Smart IP22 chargers, Smart IP43 chargers and SmartSolar MPPT solar chargers).”.

The old phoenix charger is VE.Smart Networking compatible. Does this mean I can add two new ones to the old one for VE.Smart controlled charging, or would I need to replace the old one as well to achieve this? Thanks in advance for your help.
