I’ve bought a Victron Phoenix 48/5000 inverter with the intention of adding more in parallel in future. I chose this because the manual says it can be paralleled via VE.Bus. I have 2x Victron Smart LiFePO4 25.6V 200Ah batteries wired in series to power the inverter. I can add further battery pairs in future to increase storage capacity when more inverters are added. Now I’m looking for a charger which can top up the batteries when the PV power (5kW peak) is insufficient in the middle of winter. I can’t find a suitable Victron 48V charger but it looks like a MultiPlus II might do the job. Can I connect a MultiPlus II to my Phoenix inverter via VE.Bus to coordinate their output in parallel like I can with several Phoenix inverters? I don’t want to feed into the grid, just have the option to draw from the grid in winter. Thanks.

No. Only identical systems, and ones certified to support parallel ops, can be used.
Thanks for clarifying
