Switch auto 1P - 3P

I made the modification to add automatic switching between 1P and 3P. It works perfectly, and I’m very pleased with it. However, I’ve noticed a bug in the consumption calculation.

The power allocation calculation is correct (the battery charge varies with the sunlight, but is managed properly). However, the charger reports consumption of 12.61 kW and total consumption of 8038 W, which is inconsistent.

When I go to the EVCS, the displayed consumption matches what is shown in the VRM (the difference is due to the adjustment between the two screenshots). However, it reports consumption of 8 A on three-phase 400 V, which gives a consumption of 5500 W and does indeed match the actual consumption.

It’s fine if this isn’t fixed in the short term; I know I’m outside the scope of support.

Hi, I have the same bug, when I charge my Zoé.

When I charge my ID.Buzz, or the Ioniq it shows the good values. What car do you charge?

You might have to adjust the power factor in the settings of the CS.

Opel Corsa-e and Audi A6.

The power factor makes no difference. I’ve already adjusted it so that it matches reality. If I’m in manual mode, the values are correct; it’s directly dependent on the automatic mode.

Good evening,

All very strange, my customers charge a motorbike on 1 phase, no issues, correct reading, bog STD 2.08 firmware…

Sunday, I will double check by just taking 1 phase loose and charge a car with only 2 phases…should also give the correct reading, right?

At home, I lost a phase for a week and we didn’t notice till 1 of our cars was not fully charged, consumption was correct with 2.06, but, I will now double check also this 2.08…maybe not ok?

Regards, Jeroen.

Tomorrow I will try my Mom’s Peugeot e-208, I will take a screenshot. But this Peugeot has only 1 phase charger. It’s the same as your Corsa-e.

I never use auto mode, only manual. Auto mode is useless for me.

It is certain that the power factor is not the problem. It is a bug.

Here the e-208 is charging. Watch only L1, the car is 1phase.

And it is the Buzz. The values are accurate.

Good afternoon,

With the Buzz, L1 is also indicating lower as I calculate.

That means the L1 inverter output calculation is not correct, so the internal measurement is off.

You can solve that by using an external CT as the internal one is NOT possible to adjust, or, to use a 3 phase meter from Victron or Carlo G. to be more accurate on the MP2 outputs.

Ask your supplier/vendor if this is something for a RMA as well, maybe they give you another one?

Regards, Jeroen.

Good evening,

I pulled while charging 1 and 2 phases randomly in the distribution cabinet to the charge point, it kept charging, no issues.

Regards, Jeroen.
