Subject: Feature suggestion for Phoenix Inverter 12/250 – Energy consumption (kWh) and usage histogram in VictronConnect
I am using a Phoenix Inverter 12/250 in a small DC system and I am very happy with the reliability and efficiency of the device.
I would like to suggest a feature that could be very useful for many users of smaller Victron systems such as camper vans, off-grid cabins, and small battery installations.
Feature suggestion:
It would be very helpful if the Phoenix Inverter could provide an integrated energy counter (kWh) and a simple consumption histogram directly in the VictronConnect app.
Since the inverter already measures DC voltage and current from the battery, it should theoretically be possible to integrate power over time and display:
- total energy consumption (kWh or Wh)
- daily consumption
- a simple usage histogram (for example hourly or daily)
This would allow users to understand their energy usage without requiring additional hardware such as a battery monitor or external energy meter.
For small systems especially, this would significantly improve monitoring and system optimization while keeping the installation simple.
I believe this feature would add a lot of value to the Phoenix inverter product line and the VictronConnect ecosystem.
