Strange Dynamic ESS behavior

I have a Dynamic ESS system setup without Feed-in. I setup the low tariff between 22h and 8h and the next few days it’s gonna be really sunny and I have 20kWh battery bank.

  1. Why wouldn’t it choose to use the battery half an hour before low tariff starts?

  2. Why wouldn’t it discharge the batteries during the night to make room for the 20kWh of sunlight coming up today?

  3. battery is 99%, loads requested but System decided to load battery to 100% instead of just using the sun to power the loads.

Active SOC limit was set to 40% during this time.
Not trusting this ESS thing, or did I configure something wrong? System has been running for over 6 months so should have learned patterns.

Without Feed in…?

Yes, Zero Feed in, which means no energy gets added to the grid.
