Strange battery alarms and warnings since increasing my panel pv output, why?

Strange battery alarms and warnings since increasing my panel pv output…Why?

Since reconfiguring my roof panels from 5 strings of 3 panels, with splitters (3,5 years like this), to 3 strings of 5 panels recently (and no splitters), my pv output has gone up from average 3,3kw to average of 4,3kw and sometimes reaching 5,5kw.

I now experience Battery - High Voltage Warnings, and even Battery Alarm - Internal Fault notifications on my GX screen, when battery charging SOC gets to about 90%.

PV reading also drops to basic ac load value, as if charging has stopped.

Charging does appear to stop and then strangely battery SOC repeatedly jumps higher upto 95%and then back down to 90% again in short bursts.

Strangely during all the above strangeness in operation the battery SoC% does eventually get to 100%.

Is this strange activity all due to me changing the charging conditions that were applied to the battery for 3,5 years, by increasing my pv output from my panels?

Is this normal battery performance reactions and will this normalize in time?

Try in DVCC to slow the charge amps.

Hi Lx, thanks for your response.
I have finally found by accessing my battery logs that two of my 4 batteries are experiencing an excessive number of HV and OV events. This is also likely linked to the sketchy Pylon BMS firmware, because many Pylon Battery users are experiencing the same, with approximately 4 years old Pylon batteries.
I had my battery BMS Firmware updated and this still didn’t help.
I was then advised of 2 tests.
1- set Keep Batteries Charged for a few hrs, after 100% SOC, and check that battery cell High and Low voltage doesn’t differ by more than 50mv. Mine was 30mv after 7 hrs… Apparently acceptable.
2 - Discharge batteries to 10% to see if any cells / battery voltage suddenly leaps downward, ahead of the pack.

My one battery red alarmed Low Voltage at 23% SOC, then another at 20%, and a third just thereafter.
My 2 batteries that failed first both had a serious amount of HV and OV events respectively, according to my download battery logs, so must have internal issues.
My #2 battery may alst have a lesser of a problem, but I am in the process of preparing info to send to Segen Solar who will send same on to Pylontech with hopes that they replace my batteries under their Warranty.

Thanks again Lx and I hope this info helps someone else:pray::pray:

Great. So just a balance and health problem.
Good to know.
