PKM-100
I am Patrick McCabe from Uvongo on the KwaZulu-Natal Lower South Coast.
I am 71 years old.
My electrical experience started with Working in an electrical switchgear environment for 20 years, building various types and voltages of electrical switchgear.
Following that work experience I spent the next 13 years in the technical authoring environment, researching for and writing manuals on locomotives, aircraft, military vehicles and weaponry, and an electrical substation switchgear installation among others.
I have lived here on the KZN south coast in Uvongo since 2022.
I had my Victron solar system installed in October 2020 and have successfully self managed my system wrt monitoring, force charging my batteries during bad weather, and Generator charging during main power supply failures.
My system comprises a Victron Easy Solar Inverter 48/5000/70-100 and I recently upgraded the MPPT to a stand alone MPPT 250-100 to replace the original combined MPPT 70-100 within the inverter.
I have 15 pv panels installed on my roof providing up to 5,5kw pv output, configured to 3 x strings of 5 panels each.
I have 4 x 3,5kw Pylontech Batteries installed.
I do have an understanding of electricity and general electrical circuitry, but do not have adequate understanding of the requirements for detailed setup of my Victron Inverter.
At this time of life I would really appreciate all Victron assistance that is possible to enable me to enjoy the benifits of my solar system.
