State of Charge Curve (Gel Deep Cycle)?

Hello everyone!

(After seeing Victron support - unacceptable! - #4 by towatai I am now directing the speech towards this community.)

Does anyone have State of Charge data for the Victron Gel Deep Cycle batteries? Why I am asking:

  • PowMr : 12.84 V @ 100%
  • Clever Solar Power : 12.85 V @ 100%
  • Li Time : 13.1 V @ 100%
  • Battery Skills : 13 V @ 100%

And last but not least:

  • Victron : 13.6 V (Fig. 3 and Fig. 4) @ 100%, 13.2 - 13.5 V @ 100%

Victron’s voltages are considerably higher than those from other sources. I am currently working on a analog display for an aforementioned Gel battery. I am well aware that the voltage will change depending on the (dis)charge current. But at least in the idle state I would like to represent its charge level correctly.

Does anyone know the reason for that difference of the battery voltage? Might Victron be using different anode materials or are the batteries simply charged above the common “100%”?

Thanks in advance.

PS: Unfortunately I had to remove many of the external links due to hindering auto-moderation.
