Hi, everyone
I’m new to this community and have a SolarEdge system with the SolarEdge inverter model SE10K-RW0TEBEN4. I’m interested in experimenting with home batteries, but since I have a standard (non-hybrid) inverter, I’m wondering if it’s possible to use a Victron system to charge the batteries.
I’ve heard that there are energy losses when converting from DC to AC and back to DC, and then again to AC. Is there a way to connect a Victron system to the SolarEdge inverter to avoid these extra AC-DC conversions while charging the batteries?
My second question is about using an EV battery. Can a Victron system communicate with a LilyGO system for this purpose?
