I have 370 W panels connected to Victron controller and 5x100 ah lithium. Shore power brings batteries to FLOAT from BULK rather quickly. However, unplugged and in FULL Florida sun, although batteries maintain full V at around 13/14, the Victron app display never gets out of ABSORPTION. I’m aware that the controller will only use and display what the batteries need to maintain proper voltage but for wattage, The most we have seen on a full sunny day was 400Wh. I tripped and reset the breaker to the controller per dealer advice with no change. I’ve cleaned the panels which were clean to begin with. With amp meter, two dealers reported normal power production. I’ve set the solar app settings to the dealer recommendations. So, although the panels are maintaining proper Voltage, why are panels not producing enough to bring batteries to float (with little to no load) and thus giving me several days of power off-grid? Thank you in advance .
Sounds like absorption time is either set to adaptive or to an unrealistic time period.
My battery manufacturer recommends 30 minutes per 100Ah of battery so in your case 1hr 50 mins.
Please try and download the settings for your MPPT, and post them here. Some MPPT have abs time set to 6Hrs, to maintain the high charge voltage during sun hours.
