I have the MPPT 75/10 setup to broadcast BLE Advertisements and have built my own logging for it. I couldn’t help but notice that the load current in the BLE Advertisement does not match what the app shows when connected to the charger (via BLE). Since the app showed what I expected (with the BLE Advertisement being higher), I assumed that the load current in the advertisement was including the charger’s functionality.
Looking at my logs from last night, such as 2am, I noticed that the battery was reporting a 0.2A drain while the load current was showing 0.6A! Considering there is no solar power being produced, the only source of power is the battery [which was showing the expected drain]. So, unless this charger is magically producing 0.4A from nowhere, the load current sensor is clearly off!
Has anyone had a similar issue? Is the margin of error really that large for the load current sensor or is there something wrong (in my interpretation or hardware)?
