Hello,

I’m now at the point where I need to mount SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 on the wall. In the manual I can only find the info that there should be 10 cm of space above and below the MPPT for cooling purposes. What about rear side of the charger - can be mounted directly on the wall or is it recommended to use spacers?

Is it allowed to configure a rotary switch (which selects type of the connected battery configured) when MPPT is powered-on or only when MPPT is powered-off?

Can be absorption and float voltage level of the battery changed on the predefined channel (channel 7 on the rotary switch which belongs to the LiFePo4 battery) or different absorption/float level needs to create custom program for charging battery?

You can mount it directly to any wall with 10CM above and below. You wont be able to customize settings beyond what the rotary switch selection specifies if thats how you choose to set it up. You have a Smartsolar why not use VictronConnect and customize your settings along with using all the monitoring features?

Sure, I’m planning to use VictronConnect. However, is it probably better to configure a rotary switch to the most appropriate channel (channel 7 for LiFePO4 battery) before first start-up or is it fine to left rotary switch where is it by default (channel 2) and configure everything over app?
