I made a mistake with bypassing SmartChanger - I connected minus wire from the SmartSolar 100/30 MPPT charger directly to the minus battery tab and not via the SmartShunt. Consequently, Ah readings are wrong and SOC as well. Today I will repair the mistake (I will connect minus wire to the System’s side of the SmartShunt), the question is - what is the right way to reset Ah/SOC values from the SmartShunt? Using reset history function or is there any other more appropriate way in these situations?
The only way to reliably get the SOC correct is to perform a full charge where the controller reaches float and the SmartShunt synchronises to 100% or you set it to 100% mamually.
As you have made one of the two common mistakes, here is a link to the other, not setting the SmartShunt settings properly. Both ate covered in the manual.
