Smarhunt battery status

Hello,

I have the following setup:

  • Two lithuim batteries from the brand Bluggy - Pararell
  • Victron phoneix 12/2000VA inverter
  • Victron MPPT 75/15A
  • 12V charger - CBE brand
  • 3 x 25A DC-DC charger
  • Victron switch filax 2 - To switch between when are connected from 220V camping or select the inverter when we are not connected to the camping.

Then I have the following monitoring setup

  • Cerbo GX
  • 3xsmarthunt: 1) Batery capacity (how much battery is left) 2) All the energy consumed 3) all the energy charging
  • Touch 50

Since the other day I have realized some battery jumps. During the night the battery capacity was 67% (Cerbo GX and , then I wake up and it was 63% but after 1h or 2h the battery jumped to 100% (cerbo GX) and it was not possible as it was cloudy (only 5-10wh) and I didnt connect to 12V or I didnt started the campervan. Then I checked the app for the batteries and it was 63%.

Today I have realized the same, the Cerbo GX jumped from 97% to 100% and it was very cloudy. Checking the batteries app , it was showing 97%.

Do you have any idea why is this happening? Thanks!

Was sagt denn smartshunt #1 über bt ?

Wie sind die einstellungen von dem shunt ?

Verdrahtungsplan mit allen Ladegeräten, akkus und shunts ?

Hello,

I have been checking the graphs and I think I found a pattern.

When the solar panel provies more energies that the system consumes, then the battery status jumps to 100%

Lets say the Cerbo GX shows 60% of remaining battery, then the system consumes 0.6A (mainly only I have the Cerbo GX and 5G router running) and the moment the solar panel provides 0.6A or more, then the battery status jumps to 100% no matter if really the battery is 50%, 40%.

Does this new information help?

Note: This is happening just with the solar panel. If I connect the Van to 12V charger or using the DC charger, it doesnt happen. The battery status is in line.

Yes, the “charged voltage” in the smartshunt is probably set too low, should be 0.2v under absorption.

And, are you sure the battery minus is ONLY connected to the shunt ?

Hello,

Is something that I can check via VRM portal? the smarthunt charged voltage?

to be honest, I dont know if the battery minus is only connected to the shunt, as I havent done the installation myself. Some company did the instalation for me.

Have a read of this FAQ which explains what is happening and why the suggestion from Ludo to set the charged voltage 0.2V below absorption solves this.

Why is my shunt jumping to 100%

Either using VictronConnect app on your phone via Bluetooth if you are at the installation or the VictronConnect app via VRM if you are not at the installation.

Hello,

This my mppt configuration:

This is my smarthunt configuration:

Could you please tell me what values to change? It is not clear what I need to change after reading the links. Thanks!

Best regards,
Josue

In the shunt set charged voltage to 14.0

Thanks! I have done the changes, tomorrow I will check how the shunt is behaving.

Thank you all! the issue is solved.
