Shore charging at low amps

Hi everyone

Total newbie here, so please bear with me.

Recently completed a canopy build and the builder also completed my electrical fitout, consisting of a 200ah battery, Cerbo GX, Mulitplus 12/2000/80-32, SmartShunt 500A, SmartSolar Charger MPPT 100/20 48V and Orion XS 12/12-50A.

The only load on the system currently is a 12v 85L upright fridge typically drawing 50-65W/4.2-5.0A when the compressor is running.

My alternator charging seems to be running perfectly, however on shore charge, I only seem to draw at about 1.0A (pic attached).

Wall power here is 240v at 10amps in the home and 15A at a typical campground (vehicle wired with 15A power cord, hence running a 10A to 15A adaptor while it’s plugged in at home.

The installer has done multiple Victron installations and this is a new problem for him.

Anyone have any suggestions on what might be going wrong?

Thanks in advance.

I assume you have connected to shore to charge.
If you put the inverter into charger mode does it ramp up the charge?

Hi LX

The inverter is in charger only mode.

Did you check the AC input current limit?
It may be set to only 1 Amps.

Sorry, now I see from the printscreen, that the input current limit is way bigger…

But how is defined your bulk voltage?
Maybe it’s close to it and the charger it’s throttling down the current and it’s no need for more.

Thanks Alex. Even with the battery at approx 50%, I still only get input at 1Amp. It does not change at all until about 98%, then it throttles to .5Amps approximately.

What is your DC charge current set to?
AC charge
