I seem to be getting lots of low battery alarms for Ruuvi bluethooth sensors even though they are not that low and have plently of charge left in them. I also have no way of turning these off, the only solution that I can find is to replace the batteries early.
I have x30 of these sensors and not seen the problem you are describing, i guess if the sensor is exposed to large fluctuations in temp over a relative short time it could pull the battery volts down briefly, enough to kick the Alarm in?
I don’t think the temperature swings are causing this as I don’t feel they are that extreme, but I could well be wrong and it might be something for me to keep an eye on.
It’s definitely not consistant with how long I’ve been running these either as three sensors have been ticking away for a year with no issues at all, one I replaced the battery on (cab) to fix the issue and the newest one I added (boiler) has shown this alert after only 4-5 months.
I’m thinking that it could be some of them ship with poor quality batteries, but either way there is a lot of life left in them, so ideally a way to disable the VRM alarms for this would be best. I think I need to setup the rules you’ve noted above before they start alarming as well, so I’ll do that for all of them now. I assume I probably want the Alarm and Warning toggles off?
