Hi,
I have a 3 Multiplus-II 48/3000 with 5,4 kWp in panels. The company, which installed it, also installed charging station EV Mate. It was about a month before Victron released the first version of the charging station.
Now I’m waiting for my first EV car and I’m thinking about changing the charging station from EV Mate to Victron so I would be able to see more data in VRM and it would be easier to manage it.
I have a several question for that:
- do I need a new circuit breaker (type B) for that or the one I already have is good?
- from what I understood correctly, if I wire it for 3P, it won’t be able to switch between 1P-2P-3P based on the power available
- I’ve listened to the Victron podcast and there was episode in December only about the Charging station with the information that there is new version in development and should be released in 2025 and it should be able to switch between 1-2-3 P. Any rumors when it could be released? Since I don’t have that big PV, it would be great to be able to switch between the phases
Perhaps if you have any idea what would be the best solution for me, I would appreciate that.
It’s going to be my first EV (Skoda Elroq) and I would like to optimize the system as much as possible.
I also have a Loxone at home so I was also thinking about linking it to it, since I connected Victron to Loxone via Modbus. Pehaps the Loxone Charging station might be also a solution.
Thanks,
Jakub
