Remote system monitoring

Hello, I just installed 500amp smart shunt and 150/85 smart controller. I want to be able to see what’s going on with my system remotely. Is all I need to do this is install the Cerbo-S GX? Or are there other pieces of equipment that I need? I was going to use a mobile hotspot from my boat to monitor

Hi Stephen and welcome!

It will come down to money i guess, i use a Cerbo GX just because it gives me everything i need but others use Raspberry pi’s a cheaper option but maybe a bit more work/time setting up (others can advise better than me on this) i guess.
As for using a Mobile Hotspot, can’t help on this one, but i did find This it might help.

thank you Dave!

Your very welcome, please let me know what you decide as it might help others.

Hi Stephen,

Welcome to the club, and indeed a Cerbo GX is what you can use to monitor remotely.
Alternatively you can use the cheaper Cerbo- S GX, with less inputs/outputs.
Or the more expensive Ekrano GX, with build in color display.

Making a simple hotspot with an old/used phone is an option indeed.
Otherwise a simple 4G cell router will do, the connection does not need to be fast.

I will try a basic hotspot
i did get the cerbo-s gx

thank you Theo!
