I’m trying to set up the generator to start on load. The System is a Multi RS 6000 connected to a LG Resu with a max output of 3kw for a small off grid. We have a storage HWS running off a timer during middle of the day as it’s mainly a weekend so it will run when the suns out and keep it up to temp when they’re there. I want the generator to start on load to not drain/overload the battery if they ever use it but I can’t seem to get it to start on load!
It starts on SOC and manually when I start it through the app. I have turned on the has which has a load of 3600w covered by the solar and small amount of battery if weathers not great. I set the load to 2500w for 30Sec - Wouldn’t start - set it to its lowest setting and still wouldn’t start. I have played with the load “Measurement” tab which I last set as “Total AC out” and the genset position of loads at “AC Output only” (Ive played with different variations of both of these setting to no avail. The only thing I can think of is it isn’t starting because the solar is covering it even though it’s DC Coupled through the RS’s MPPT?
Appreciate any input!
