Redundant Grid-Forming Configuration in VE.Bus: Backup Master Possibility?

Hello Victron Community,

I am designing a system with multiple MultiPlus-II inverters in a parallel master-slave configuration to form a microgrid, and I have a question about redundancy in grid-forming setups:

Is it possible to configure a redundant grid-forming inverter (Backup Master) in VE.Bus so that if the primary Master (grid-forming inverter) fails, another inverter can automatically take over the grid-forming responsibilities?

Specifically:
Does VE.Bus handle this failover automatically, or does it require manual configuration or specific settings?
Are there any additional components (e.g., Cerbo GX) or settings required to enable this kind of redundancy?
What are the recommended best practices for setting up such a system to ensure failover reliability?

Thank you for your insights!

If one unit fails, all units will shutdown. There is (currently) no automatic failover.

Only way to get the system running again is to remove the faulting unit from the system configuration.

(Same applies for a multiphase setup)
