Hello, I have recently upgraded a site from a SMA sunny island 6 to a quattro 48/15000, i originally had 1 x mppt 450/100 and left the Summy boy 500 on frequency control, I end up remove the Sunny boy and installing a second mppt 450/100 as the sunny island would ramp down and have unstable operation fault when battery got t around 80%. after I have installed second mppt and firmware update on Cerbo I have this fault quattro 48/15000/200 2 x 100 #24system protection initiated, going back monday any advice apricated
Hi, without knowing the details, I might look into whether the error is related to the Sunny Island and the Quattro. In particular, I’d check the neutral separation between in and out, as well as N–PE. I’d start by taking a close look at the AC wiring. Don’t just measure voltages here. I wouldn’t consider the update or the MPPT the most likely cause of the error.
Perhaps you could describe the system in more detail. Sometimes it helps to sketch a circuit diagram to question your own assumptions.
