I have a 2x120 and an abundance of solar, without ESS, there appears to be no good way of using that solar while I have a shore connection.
I’m not near my install to experiment;
I have all 120v loads;
My question, what happens if I lower the AC input current limit (still on split phase 50a service) way down to say 10a and demand on AC out 2 exceeds 10 amps?
I took a gamble and tried reducing my input current…. I set it to 15a, and when a load kicked on, 18a promptly started passing thru, with input and output matching and no apparent participation from the batteries.
On the 2x120, when connected to split phase only L1 is current limited. L2 is not effected by the current limit setting. When connected to split phase shore power, only L1 has the ability to power assist.
