I guess I’m not with it, but I can’t recall whether the Packages Menu item under v1 GUI was there by default or whether I needed to manually add it, either way, it now has disappeared after upgrading to Venus 3.71 from 3.67, should I downgrade and leave well enough alone or is there a trick I haven’t come across as yet, that someone can share with me?
Sounds like a GUI mod. What are you able to do in that packages menu?
Add software, like the battery aggregator…
It doesn’t sound like a standard item. There are quite a few topics on the various mods that might be worth searching for.
Package Manager are part of SetupHelper and has been tested with v3.71. Normally packages will automatically reinstall following a firmware update so it seems likely something is preventing the SetupHelper reinstall. I’d suggest you revert to the previous firmware and check SetupHelper’s version in the PackageManager menu. The latest is v9.3.
Then rather than switching back to v3.71, I recommend reinstalling the firmware using Online update.
If that does not work and you have ssh access, you can also run /data/SetupHelper/setup and see what is reported.
You can also attempt a blind install of SetupHelper which is described in the SetupHelper’s ReadMe.
