Hi everyone. Looking for some help with my Orion XS that is not starting a new charge cycle after it has completed its previous one.
The unit is installed in a Ford Transit based motorhome with a standard non smart alternator. The Orion will start in float mode after starting the engine regardless of output voltage with the charge data being added to the previous days data in the history. The only way to get it to start a new charge cycle is to either reset the unit and re enter the same charge settings or to switch to adaptive charge profile from the fixed absorption setting. The charger works well once it starts properly going thru it’s correct profile as entered ,very accurately charging my two lithium batteries. Hoping this is a software issue that will be addressed in the upcoming update. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Again my main concern is that the unit does not start a new active cycle once the old one completes but instead continues to use float mode in the previous cycle.
Has the lithium batteries voltage dropped enough for the new charge cycle to require a new bulk/absorp charge?
Yes in all instances the voltage has been lower than programmed, for example 13.24 volts and my settings for bulk are 14.1 and float at 13.5
Thanks for the assistance. Rebulk setting is .10
The issue has been resolved after down load of version 1.05
