Hey hive mind.
My van was (still is) running solar via a Victron MPPT (SmartSolar 100/30) and had gone through bulk and absorbtion to float. I had a battery charger (Noco Genius 5) plugged in to my starter battery running off the inverter (MultiPlus 12/2000/80-32). My Orion XS was disabled via a remote switch while the Noco was running so it wouldn’t get into a weird charging loop. The Orion was powered though, just Off. It was logging data to VRM and “saw” the leisure battery voltage rising to full, hold while the MPPT was in absorbtion then start to drop as the MPPT dropped to Float. Battery is a Fogstar Drift Gen 1 628Ah 12v.
DVCC is enabled with SVS/SCS etc enabled.
I took the Noco off, re-enabled the Orion remote switch and moved the van. I checked the Orion charge state and it said “Storage”. I don’t want the battery to drop to storage voltage before it does anything, I want it to enter Float like the MPPT and maintain 13.5v
Happy to post Orion Settings and/or VRM log of Orion input volts/output volts/output current if it would help
My question is why did it go Storage and not Float?
Thanks all
