Is there any suggestion to connect the Remote On of Orion -Tr 48/12-9 with MPPT 100/20?
.
Orion-Tr should load and keep on Standby a 12 V Motor Starter Battery from 48 V Boat Battery,
but only, if/as Solar Energy is availiable (MPPT is working).
.
There is a proposal for connect MP II 48-3000 via inverter remote cable to MPPT 100/20.
.
Maybe it is possible to use the same way for Remote On of Orion-Tr?
.
Does it need 2 cables? One for MP II, one for Orion-Tr?
.
THX for any Help.
Hi @mgrosshans
Sounds like you have a Multiplus. The ‘fully featured’ way to do this is to use the Assistants there. Battery V is a good guide to when solar is pushing, and you could add in SOC to switch as well when your house batts are in Absorb (so using excess solar then). If you use a generator you could have it switch on too when that’s running.
Time delays to minimize frequent switching and limit the charge time.
That model Orion needs a flat V to be set manually. For me 13.9V for 2 hours daily seems to work fine. (My start batts also provide lighting).
