One solar panel two separate marine batteries how?

Hi,

I guess a common issue…
Two batteries, one domestic/start other start only (twin engine boat).
One solar panel, no Victron mppt that can do two batteries (yes there is a pwm for two batteries).
Other than leaving Victron products, ( other mppt chargers can do two batteries, albeit one only trickle charging which is fine).

How can I best do this if at all with Victron, seems like a common requirement.

Full charge to domestic battery, top up for engine battery just to keep it in good condition when not used.

Any simple cost effective solution?

Thanks
Paul

If they’re both a similar chemistry, why not just an ACR? MPPT to domestic battery, ACR between domestic battery and start. Lots of manufacturers make ACRs, but in the Victron lineup it’d be the Cyrix, which is small, relatively cheap, and effective.
