NodeRED Dynamic ESS misses prices today

For everyone using Dynamic ESS in NodeRED, you might’ve noticed that Dynamic ESS misses today’s energy prices.

This is due to an error on ENTSO-E side. For Dynamic ESS users in VRM, we have a fallback in place to get the prices from other sources, so the prices are available there.

In the near future, NodeRED will have the same price fallbacks in place. Would you want to benefit from Dynamic ESS today, the best advice I can give you is to switch to Dynamic ESS in VRM itself today.

How you do that:

  • Go to settings → Dynamic ESS on your site in VRM
  • Complete the configuration
  • Switch Dynamic ESS on in VRM (this happens automatically after completing the configuration)
  • Switch Dynamic ESS off in NodeRED

We expect ENTSO-E to have the prices for tomorrow available this afternoon, for you to use NodeRED tomorrow again. If that isn’t the case, we will keep you informed as well.

To add to this, in VRM you will see a banner on missing ENTSO-E prices. As we retrieved the prices from a different source, VRM users can ignore this banner: your energy prices are correctly synced.

Update: The prices are synced and available in NodeRED again.
