Newbie monitoring home PV battery

Hi
we inherited a PV system when we bought our house a few years ago. It has a Solax inverter and 2 * 4.7 kWh Pylon batteries. There is currently no way of monitoring the battery charge without reading the LED display on the inverter and I would like to automate this. Is it possible to do this with a Victron BMV-712 battery monitor? If so are there any other bits of kit that I need? This is all new to me so any advice greatly appreciated - thanks!

Hi,

be a bit more informative with product numbers etc. pls

I monitored a lithium battery for 4 years with a BMV-712. The free VictronConnect app on a smartphone gives an easy way to access the monitor via bluetooth locally.

Thanks @RaySun. I was wanting to link the BMV to the App so good to know that someone else has done this

Apologies @stopburningstuff. The inverter is a Solax SK-SU3700 and the batteries are Pylon Extra2000

Pardon, The BMV is a shunt not only for Victron stuff but the whole battery market  i was a bit sleepy i guess.
