New Lifepo4 Battery mppt stays on absoption

Hi,

I have a problem with my new battery I have bought. My system is a 100watts solar panel, Victron mppt 75/15 and I had 2 vehicle battery’s and that worked fine. But I needed more power, so I bought a Lifepo4 300Ah Battery. I am able to do my things with that, everything works but the mppt won’t charge. It stays always on absoption. I don’t know if I have to change anything in the mppt settings, I chose the “smart lithium (Lifepo4)” profile in the mppt. It shows always 0 watts from the solar panel.

Do anyone has an advice?

Thank you very much

Looking at your mppt history, a battery voltage of 0v would indicate a blown fuse/open breaker between the mppt and battery.

Check your cabling, crimps, fuses. The battery reports 12.6V but the MPPT 14.2V, thats way too high of a voltage drop for no 0A. Also double check those voltages with a multimeter.

Further, the Victron MPPTs need a PV voltage of Vbattery+5V to start. Your PV only had 17.2V in the second screenshot, but 19.2V on the PV are necessary to start charging

Thank you for the answers. The PV Voltage is that low because of the time I made that screenshot. There was not much sun anymore at 20:30 pm. I think the blown fuse/open breaker is the answer. I bought a fuse a few minutes ago and will check that tomorrow. I’ll let you know and it is really possible that this may be the fault because of my inexperience..

Thanks a lot

Hi,

as promised here is the result:

I replaced it and now I have a blue bulk LED and a Solar Watts income.
And I am so much happy right now.

Thank you very much again!
I hope the rest will work well now and I hope that this case may help someone else, too.
