Hi All.
Just after a bit of advice, the below photo shows readings from the VRM of one of our units. These are BESS units running 6x 10kva quattro’s in parallel, with 75kwh batteries, and supplied by a diesel generator.
Just trying to work why/how the input voltage is showing negative voltage.
Apologies, yes this is showing input power not voltage.
The power is supplied by a 3 phase generator, it goes into the inverters to charger the batteries and also supplies power out to the load, usually temp accommodation, lighting etc.
I’m just not sure how it is seeing a negative AC input .
I have the exact same issue randomly on 4 stand alone BESS units running in island application with disel generators as supply. Showing negative kw on the AC input randomly, often causing my inverter/chargers to fault on overload and turn off.
They are running the same 10kVA Quattro Inverter Chargers (20kVA per phase - 3 phase unit) with 120kwh of batteries. Generally only see negative value on 1 phase randomly, can be like that for a few minutes then corrects itself (if it doesn’t fault in that time…)
Keen to know if you got to the bottom of the issue?
